asuruan - The Wonosari Village Government, Tutur Subdistrict, successfully held the Grebek Memetri tradition on Sunday until Monday, August 17-18, 2025. The event was attended by the Vice Regent of Pasuruan, Gus Shobih Asrori, and supported by the Pasuruan Regency Tourism Office, the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Pasuruan Regency, the Subdistrict Leadership Forum (Forkompicam), and the people of Wonosari Village.
This annual tradition is carried out as a collective prayer for goodness, safety, and prosperity, while also serving as a platform to promote tourism and UMKM, the creative economy potential of Wonosari Village. The rundown of events ran smoothly and with great enthusiasm, starting from interfaith prayers, local art parades, Nusantara cultural parade, to the sedekah bumi (earth thanksgiving ritual).
The Head of Wonosari Village, Imanuael Herlambang, emphasized that Grebek Memetri is not only a religious ritual but also an important momentum to strengthen community solidarity.
"Grebek Memetri is intended as a prayer to ask for all goodness, safety, and prosperity, packaged in a series of cultural events. Going forward, Wonosari will establish as a Little Malioboro in the Wonosari Nongkojajar Golden Triangle, which will become a source of pride for both Wonosari residents and Pasuruan Regency," he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of Pasuruan, Shobih Asrori, expressed his appreciation for the event, which was full of solidarity.
"On behalf of the Regent of Pasuruan, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Wonosari Village Government and all parties who supported this event. Hopefully, it will be even more festive in the future," he said.
Through Grebek Memetri, Wonosari Village not only preserves tradition but also strengthens its position as a cultural tourism destination in Pasuruan Regency.
